ABOUT CHRISTIAN
Hi! This is Christian!
He is 15 years old, he is from Bosnia, and he loves to dance. He has been dancing with the Zornitza Dance Ensemble for two years now.
Though he may not be Bulgarian, he is greatly affiliated with the Bulgarian community and has made many friends along the way.

EARLY DAYS
Christian started his dancing career when he was 3 years old back in 2011. He started dancing the Serbian folklore with the group Mlada Srbadija and he immediately fell in love. He danced at many groups in his lifetime. After he joined Mlada Srbadija, he joined the group Zavicaj, where he danced from 2014-2020. Zavicaj loved to travel. They traveled to San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, Serbia, and many more places. In 2022 he joined the group Vuk Karadzic where he continues to dance to this day.

WITH ZORNITZA
Finally, Zornitza was introduced. September 8 of 2021 was the day he had his first practice, where he instantly fell in love. When Christian is off the dance floor, he has many activities he enjoys. Though he may not be able to hammer a nail into a wall, he sure is able to portray himself in creative ways through the fine arts. He loves to play music, sports and be a part of his community. Christian plays the piano, guitar, violin, flute, saxophone, the Serbian gusle, the tamboura, and his newest addition, the Bulgarian Gajda. He has been playing most of these instruments for 5+ years and continues to take lessons. Christian also loves to be very sporty. He plays soccer, tennis, badminton, and his favorite, gymnastics. He has been doing all the sports for 7+ years!

MEMBER OF HIS COMMUNITY
Christian is a proud member of his community and does other sorts of activities. He volunteers at the St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church where he teaches Sunday school to toddlers and teaches the youngest folk group of Mlada Srbadija aged 3-6. He also works at the Queen’s Park Sportsplex where he spends his time teaching and educating young tots different gymnastics skills, he loves to learn how to act at the LeBlanc School of Acting, and he plays music in his school orchestra, jazz band, and concert band. Christian is very grateful to be a member of his community, he has made many friends, and he hopes to continue this magical journey for years to come. Till next time!
